A White Christmas

"In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Be thankful for *all* things - even for the hindrances and pains in life. I always think of Corrie ten Boom's story as she and her sister were placed in a concentration camp infested with lice. At first, Corrie was agonizing over them - it was painful and itchy. Her sister shared this verse with her, and Corrie wondered why on earth she should be thankful for these annoying creatures. Yet, as they continued in the holocaust camp, it turned out that the guards would never step in the barracks because they did not want to get lice. This allowed them to have more freedom in their living quarters - freedom to read the Bible and talk and do things that other barracks would not be allowed to do. God had a purpose for the lice - even though at first glance it appeared that they were just another problem.

So maybe that story had nothing to do with the picture, but I felt like sharing it.

This was just a random sketch I did a couple weeks ago and I felt it was paint-worthy. I was hoping to finish before Christmas, but oh well. All that matters is that I did finish SOMETHING before my break ended. Hooray! Hopefully more to come.
