Literature Lost

Somewhere in the depths of time,
A paper was lost, never to find.
Rumors warred and never ceased
Of what was said on that small piece.
What was written and was it true?
Was it known to many or just a few?
Was it a poem of timeless worth?
Did it tell of treasures beneath the earth?
A faded paper writ with ancient pen
Remains a mystery 'till eternity's end.
