Spanish Wedding Braid

One the first day of our missions, we went to the impoverished parts of San Jose. We went to their version of walmart or publix - MegaSuper, and bought different food items. We packed about 20 bags full (if I remember right) of food and supplies, that they would later distribute to families in the neighborhood. After that, our plan was to go to a church and serve there, but something happened and we weren't able to do that.

We returned to the house we were staying at. The owner's name was Sarah. (She guided us around to the store and the church) Suddenly, our missionary/translator, Mrs. Patty, comes up to me and says "Mrs. Sarah wants to do your hair!" And I'm like, "oh sure". (Ironically I am ALWAYS the "Barbie doll" at sleepovers and whatnot.) So she did my hair up like this. Its called a Spanish Wedding braid. My youth pastor said it looked like a dragonfly...lol. I kept it in my hair as long as I could (so for about 1.5 days)...but eventually one must take a shower...so....

I have no idea how she did it though. Its amazing and confusing at the same time. She used like every strand of hair I have.
